ABOUT THE CARTOGRAPHERS

The Emporium’s chief designer Ian Mitchell has a history of Discworld cartography having produced a map of Ankh-Morpork for the board game of the same name in 2011. Terry liked what he saw and commissioned Ian to bring the original Discworld maps up to ‘Snuff’. The result was The Compleat Ankh-Morpork in 2012 created with Terry and Bernard & Isobel Pearson and illustrator Peter Dennis, followed maps for the Ankh-Morpork Hygienic Railway in 2013 for Raising Steam and Mrs Bradshaw’s Handbook and The Compleat Discworld Atlas in 2015.

Marc Moreau is a specialist fantasy cartographer and map illustrator for books, tabletop games, video games and RPG’s who contacted us some years ago offering his services in fantasy cartography. As a life-long Discworld fan to illustrate Terry’s world would be a feather in his cap, he said. He may now be living to regret sending that email.

David Wyatt has illustrated covers for Terry Pratchett books including the Amazing Maurice, The Carpet People and Bromeliad trilogy as well as numerous Discworld calendars. He has contributed his talents to numerous Discworld Emporium Productions including stamps, jigsaws, prints and books such as the Nac Mac Feegles’ Big Wee Alphabet Book. David has also illustrated book covers for the likes of Neil Gaiman, J.R.R. Tolkien, Jasper Fforde, Philip Pullman and Kieren Larwood.
